Since many people relocating to the Myrtle Beach area plan to make this their retirement home be sure and tell your Realtor that fact also.  Condos may not be the best choice if you plan to live here permanently unless they do not allow short-term rentals.   If you simply do not want to have to worry about yard work that is not a problem even if you buy a single family home because a few places have lawn maintenance included in the neighborhood POA fee or their are numerous lawn care providers to maintain your yard at a low cost.
